Carl Filipiak
Right On Time
The Story
If you like fusion/jazz music, Carl Filipiak is a must discovery - this is one fine player. His 1993 release, "Right On Time", features high octane fusion powered by a smoking rhythm section (Dennis Chambers and George Gray manning the skins, and JIm Charsen on bass) and Filipiak's fluid guitar makes for a potent combination. The album ncludes an incredible version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing". "Right On Time" also features guests such as Paul Soroka on keyboards and lyricon Bob Berg on tenor saxophone. This is the one Jazz Times called, "Hot, Hot, Hot!" - and we must agree - a dynamite CD.
