Djam Karet
A Night For Baku
The Story
Founded in 1984, "A Night For Baku" is the 12th album by one of the U.S.'s greatest instrumental progressive rock bands, Djam Karet. It combines elements of dark guitar fusion with electronic sonic architectures and complex turbocharged rhythms. "This is a studio album conceived by a studio band; tracks segue one into the other, atmospheres are established and broken... the band's art resides mostly in its inside-outside soloing and attention to atmospheres. Djam Karet has finally reached the perfect integration of the two aspects of its music: rock jamming and ambient soundscapes," wrote the All Music Guide.
