Eric Johnson
Seven Worlds
The Story
"Seven Worlds" is Eric Johnson's 'pre-debut' album, a recording completed before 1986's "Tones" (actually pre-dating Van Halen I), but not released until now. The CD shows why, back in the late '70s and early '80s that the Texas guitarist was being hailed by Guitar Player and other magazines as the greatest unknown player of his time. His talent on the guitar clearly shines through, and his development at that time was high enough to warrent media attention. The album features three instrumental custs, "Zap", "Winter Came" and "A Song For Life". Solos, such as those on "Zap" and "By Your Side" make "Seven Worlds" an essential recording for EJ fans.
