James Byrd
Octoglomerate
The Story
James Byrd's (Fifth Angel, Atlantis Rising) first guitar instrumental album, "Octoglomerate", showcases Byrd's penchant for melody, creating one of the most exciting instrumental albums of our time. Utilizing Germanic (i.e. Scorpions/Accept-influenced) rhythm tracks, Byrd's guitar work on "Octoglomerate" features state-of-the-art techniques, melodic phrasing and lyrical solos in the tradition of Michael Schenker, Ulrich Roth, Yngwie Malmsteen and Jimi Hendrix.
