Johannes Linstead
Sol Luna Tierra
The Story
With masterful fretwork and vivid imagination, exciting young acoustic guitarist Johannes Linstead, from Canada, blends the best of traditional and contemporary South American/Caribbean melodies in this passionate, original and deeply emotional music. R.J Lannan of Wind & Wire Magazine was moved to write, "I listened to "Sol Luna Tierra" and realized immediately that I had forgotten something - my passport. The music of Joahnnes Linstead carried me around the world in song with sultry ballads, native rhythms, and firecracker flamenco." Rod Gudino of RPM Magazine enthused, "Johannes Linstead is certainly among the cream to rise to the top of the (nouveau flamenco) genre with a strong debut." Interestingly, the track "Mountain Mist" is dedicated to the beauty of El Yunque, an enchanting mountain rain forest located in Puerto Rico.
