Michael Schenker Group
Be Aware Of Scorpions
The Story
Infuential German guitarist Michael Schenker puts together a new incarnation of MSG for "Be Aware Of Scorpions", which features ex-Badlands drummer Jeff Martin, Reverand Jones on bass, and Chris Logan on bass. The rhythms are crunchy and the solos classic Schenker, as the album as a whole continues in the direction forged by "The Unforgiven". No instrumentals this time through though, which is not that surprising considering that Schenker released three all instrumental CDs since the last Michael Schenker Group release. Highlights here include the progressively-minded "Blinded By Technology" and the opener, "No Turning Back". The Michael Schenker Group and "Be Aware Of Scorpions" - rebuilt to destroy, and unforgiven, too.
