Racer X
Superheroes
The Story
Racer X strikes back with their new album "Superheroes", a collection of nine new original compositions and a killer cover of the Blue Oyster Cult classic "Godzilla." Original members guitarist Paul Gilbert, vocalist Jeff Martin, bassist John Alderete and drummer Scott Travis continue to create classic guitar-oriented heavy metal. Bruce Bouillet is not featured on "Superheroes" as a guitarist, but did mix the CD. Gilbert, for his part slips, shreds and slides all over these tracks, using the studio to double track where necessary, and adds, "There's a big fold-out poster inside and a ton of crazy photos, and of course there's the music. This could be our best album to date. We rehearsed and wrote as a band and really inspired each other to make an amazing CD!" Worth the price of the CD alone is the blazing instrumental "King Of The Monsters".
