Stevie Ray Vaughan
Live At Montreux 1982 & 1985
The Story
"Live At Montreux 1982 & 1985" is a new 2-CD set capturing both Montreux Jazz Festival shows (the first one in 1982, when Vaughan was relatively unknown, and 1985, when Vaughan was a superstar) for the first time anywhere. The set features 19 tracks, 11 of which are previously unreleased, and offers the instrumental tracks "Hide Away", "Rude Mood", "Gone Home" and "Scuttle Buttin'". The '82 show is the earliest available live album with the classic Double Trouble line-up, while the '85 show includes searing performance with Johnny Copeland. The package includes 2 CDs in a brilliant box with deluxe O-Card, along with new liner notes by David Bowie, Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, photographer Darryl Pitt and quotes from Stevie himself.
