Tony MacAlpine
Freedom To Fly
The Story
"Freedom To Fly" finds Tony MacAlpine striking back with a potent collection of wailing guitar productions. The tracks here were not recorded in the 'Shrapnal Way' (no Steve Fontano behind the board, not recorded at Prarie Sun Studios, no Atma Anur, Mike Varney, etc.) and so the end result is a slightly toned down release compared to "Edge Of Insanity" and "Maximum Security" -- but with tons of feel, vibrato and emotion. As found on his other CDs, MacAlpine plays another blistering Chopin piece showing his talent as a classically trained pianist. "Freedom To Fly" brims with MacAlpine's high caliber lead guitar solos and strong compositions, which will appeal to the vast legion of MacAlpine enthusiasts.
