If you can make it past the amazing cover model (Nathalie Matias), once you actually open the CD, you'll be treated to the power rock sounds of Lost Parade, on their album Beautiful Addiction. Based in the St. Lous area, guitarists Jeff Faulkner and Jason Baima keep the radio-friendly music guitar-centric, although bereft of long solos, and tracks such as "Nightcrawler" sport undeniable energy and elegant breaks (would sound perfect as show closers for Smallville - need to join the WB galaxy of stars first.) "My Oxygen" features a driving solo that punctuates the ear-perking tune, while some of the heaviest riffage might be heard on "Sanctuary". Vocalist P.J. Sharimitaro is a talented singer that ensures a quality experience, whether on "Left For Dead", "Snakeskin", or the album's closer "Silver Cloud". We predict big things for this band... now, back to Nathalie...
The vision for Lost Parade was conceived when lead vocalist Sharamitaro and lead guitarist Faulkner took their band in a new direction and formed the band Shine, after their previous band Soul Kiss enjoyed much local success. Shine begin a common band name, a name change was required. Lost Parade's sound has been compared to Radiohead, Live and King's X. Their new lineup of experienced band members included second guitarist Baima, drummer Jeff Bradley and bassist Mike Bellovich. Lost Parade now boasts a resume that includes winning the grand prize at the Missouri Demo Review and Contest (sponsored by the Grammy Association).
Lost Parade regularly performs at some of St. Louis' top venues, have done shows with bands such as The Foo Fighters, Green Day, The Urge and Dada, have begun touring in cities such as Chicago, Kansas City and Memphis, and have had multiple appearances and airplay on 101.1 The River's Homegrown show.
