Santana
The Best Instrumentals Vol. 2
The Story
"The Best Instrumentals Vol. 2" collects fourteen more examples of the finest instrumental works from the three decade career of influential guitarist Carlos Santana. Included are the bass heavy "Runnin'", the beautiful "Revelations", and the ferocious, percussion-heavy "Primera Invasion". Despite the title, the CD contains two vocal numbers "Jingo" and "Oye Como Va" (maybe since the lyrics aren't in English...), and cuts featuring vox humana, the Brazilian influenced "Verao Vermelho" and "Samba De Sausalito". No need to create instrumental tapes pulling songs from each of the Sanatana records--"The Best Instrumentals Vol. 2" pulls them together and allows you to sample Santana's instrumental genius and soulful, crying guitar style in a single listening experience.
